Training for the monster TREK50 event continues as our team The Smedley Sweaters hit the wilds of The Peak District! Charles Marsdon Smedley, Jamie Austin, Bruce Slater and Jane Middleton Swift (not forgetting their trusty whippet Robin) put their fitness to the test on a chilly spring afternoon with the sudden realisation that the event is now only 74 days away! Thankfully all came back in one piece ready for work on Monday morning! The day was enjoyed by all with stunning springtime views across The Peaks and new friendships made with the local cattle!
All is being done to raise as much as possible for the charity MedEquip4Kids. At the recent Mill Sale our lovely catering staff from Olive Catering did their bit donating cakes and drinks to help raise money for the trek. Jeanette and Anne worked through the night baking hundreds of tasty delights which were quickly munched down!
